7 Day Morning Challenge
/One routine that I often work on with clients is their morning routine. Think about how you start your day. Then, think about how you would like to start your day. Taking control of our morning can have a big impact on how we feel the rest of your day.
To help you start your day feeling focused and calm, I'm giving you a 7 Day Morning Challenge! Whether you're a morning person or not a morning person, you can do this!
Ready to take the 7 Day challenge? Here it is.
Don't hit snooze! Snoozing may feel good in the moment but that little bit of extra sleep that you're getting isn't very restful and you'll most likely just feel groggier than if you had gotten up as planned. Also, by snoozing, you often feel behind schedule before you've even gotten out of bed.
Don't check your phone for at least 10 minutes after you wake up. I know. This is a TOUGH one for me too. I pick up my phone and promise myself that I'm just going to check the weather. But before I know it, I'm reading some random article about 10 things to pack when traveling or looking at work emails. When we check our phones, our phone feeds us emails, text messages, news, and other alerts. Suddenly, our morning starts to get away from us. Our stress hormones start to increase and our thoughts begin to rev up about our day. You deserve to have 10 minutes to yourself before you let the world in to your day.
Exercise. This can be tough but the morning is our most predictable part of the day. Put out your clothes the night before and, even if you just do 10 minutes of anything, your day will feel so much better!
Are you ready to take the challenge? Give it 7 days. At the end of 7 days, notice how you feel. Maybe try it for another 7 days or try adding another piece to your challenge.
Good luck!
